The University Area Commission Meetings are open to the public, so please attend
and have your voice heard. Meetings are held every third Wednesday starting at 6:30 at the Northwood & High Building Room 100, 2231 N. High St. Columbus, Ohio (Click here for directions)

You can also attend a UAC Committee Meeting if you have a specific concern that is currently being addressed by a UAC Committee. Committee meetings are also open to the public, so please feel free to attend.

Rules for addressing the Commission (download a speaker slip here)

  • The following rules shall apply to the general public when they wish to speak before Commission at a scheduled Commission meeting:

    Speakers slips must be filled out completely including name, address, organization represented, the description of the item to be addressed, if the individual will be speaking for or against the item, the subject if non-agenda and with any material or information to be distributed and filed with the Commission prior to 6:30 p.m. on the day the speaker wishes to speak before the Commission . The Commission encourages individuals to submit written testimony and/or contact the appropriate committee chairperson to discuss their concerns. The Commission will not entertain incomplete speaker slips. Speakers slips addressing rezoning or variance requests must also be submitted prior to 6:30 p.m. on the day the speaker wishes to speak before the Commission .

  • In addition:
    Speaker slips must be delivered personally by the individual wishing to speak on the day of the meeting prior to 6:30.

    Individuals are not permitted to complete multiple slips for others who wish to speak

    Commission members are not permitted to complete speaker slips over the telephone for members of the public wishing to speak

    The Commission will not accept speaker slips that are not filled out in their entirety.
