Commissioner Statement – Please state in 200 words or less, what particular experience and qualifications you can offer the University Area Commission. Please write information about your issues, concerns, goals for the neighborhood, personal information, etc. This section will be limited to 200 words.

The University Area has been my home for almost 20 years. In that time, I have been fully committed to increasing the opportunities and improving the quality of life for those who live and do business in the University District. That commitment has allowed me the privilege of working on numerous projects with residents and representatives of the City of Columbus, the Ohio State University, Business’s and non-profit organizations. I’m currently working on two projects. The first one is identify low and moderate income individuals interested in purchasing a home in the Weinland Park neighborhood and residents of owned occupied housing to get them involved with the Weinland Park Homeowners Association

The second project is to create permanent green space at the NE corner of Hamlet and E. 8th Ave. Residents, Franklin Park Conservatory, the Weinland Park Homeowners Association, CPO, the Ohio State University, the Weinland Park Civic Association and the City of Columbus are involved in the planning and implementation of this project.

Past member and presiding president of the Weinland Park Community Collaborative and W.P. Community Garden. Participated in Weed and Seed Initiative. Participated in Community Clean-ups and Annual Festivals. Member and treasurer for the Weinland Park Homeowners Association.

Graduated OSU in 1997 with a BA in Psychology.
